Pigment dyes should be used in carved candles. Pigment dyes do not bleed from layer to layer as other types of dyes do, even when the candles are cold and hard. When other dyes are used, with time, sometimes months, the colors start to blend together from layer to layer, and a big part of the beauty of the carved candle is damaged.

All the pigment dyes are available in 4 ounce increments, except white, which is in 1 lb increments.

Pigment dyes are made in flake, granule, or powder form. Color dyes are about 4 times more concentrated than the white.
